Polar Bear Photography, Churchill MB

Arrive in Winnipeg, and check into your pre-night hotel, the The Grand Winnipeg Airport Hotel. Have time to settle in and relax, or head to downtown Winnipeg and pick up any last minute items.

We will meet in the hotel lobby at 5pm to start our trip!

The first night we will have a welcome dinner with everyone at a local restaurant. Charge your batteries and rest up, we fly to Churchill in the morning.

We will meet early with our local Frontiers North Guide, and travel to the airport where our plane waits to take us to our destination!

After a short flight (1.5hrs) we will land on the windswept shores of Hudson Bay. A short private vehicle tour around Churchill to get our bearings will conclude at our hotel where we check in, and have a brief down-time before a welcome dinner with our guide from Nanuk Operaions.

These days are the reason we’ve all come so far! Our 4×4 van will pick us up at our hotel, and we’ll head out of town in search of our photography dreams.

With the 4×4 van able to access many of the hotspots for bears, we’ll be able to disembark and shoot comfortably from outside the van, often at eye level with the bears. This vehicle will also allow for us to move more quickly and safely amongst the rugged terrain.

With a naturalist guide aboard, information on habitat, behavior, biology and ecology is abundant, and with Evan helping with photos, we’re sure to make photos we’ve all dreamed of.

6 Full days of photography looking for Polar Bears, Wolverines, Snowy Owls and potentially Wolves!

While no wildlife is ever garunteed on any day, having 6 full days of photography will increase our chances for opportunities at polar bears, and the more rare species who call the wilds around Churchill home.

These days we will be saying at the Sippi Inn and eating our dinners at various hotels in Churchill.

Lunches and snacks will be served on tour so we don’t waste any time traveling back and forth from Churchill in middle of the day.

We will make time during the week to be sure everyone has a chance to visit a shop in town for postcards and souvenirs.

Today we say good-bye from Churchill and fly back to our hotel in Winnipeg, where we can have a final dinner all together.

We do not reccomend booking a flight home this evening as our Calm Air flight may not arrive back in Winnipeg until evening.

We say our good-byes to the group, and travel back home independently from Winnipeg.
